Chronology of cameras Butcher
In Butcher's eyes, this model is upscale enough (and expensive) to warrant a three-page presentation in his 1914 catalog. Its compact size (resembling a cigarette case), technical features, and manufacturing quality are highlighted.
The construction is entirely made of metal, covered with imitation (Model I) or genuine (Model II) leather. Model I comes with a Lukos II shutter, while Model II comes with a Compound shutter. The standard lens is an Uno Anastigmat f/7.7, manufactured by Aldis.
Upon opening the camera, the focus is automatically set to infinity. A radial lever allows for adjustment when focusing on close subjects.
The origin is German, as it is the Icarette I.
The variations of the two models are:
Model I (shutter. Lukos II) |
Model II (shutter. Compound) |
